Alan is a native Mainer, who resides in Buxton. The natural life and scenes inspire him and he enjoys the challenge of capturing the details of his subjects in his art. As a primarily self-taught artist, he particularly appreciates creating in the outdoors and capturing a traditional Maine scene. He works in a variety of mediums including oils, acrylics and pen and ink, as well as on a variety of surfaces.
